Wet Hot American Summer is that cult classic that many find funny, outrageous, and a bit weird in the final act. Featuring Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Molly Shannon, Paul Rudd, Christopher Meloni, Amy Poehler, and many more, the film from 11 years ago has had a great share of sequel rumors for some time now. However, the biggest development comes in the confirmation from star Michael Showalter, as he took to a talk show that’s been quite popular this week, and revealed a second film is indeed happening.

SUSIE: Hey you guys! Everybody focus up, okay, all eyes here. I would like to announce that Ben and I are planning to produce a musical number from Godspell for the talent show tonight.
BEN: *Coughs*
SUSIE: Oh, I’m sorry. Ben is producing. I am directing slash choreography.
BEN: I’m only speaking from personal experience but if you can’t carry a tune don’t come into the audition environment and waste our time. For serious, okay?

This is an excuse to do some good musical theatre. So be prepared, be enthusiastic, and leave your bullshit attitude and baggage at the door, cause we don’t need it!
